HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION BY PHALIA POLICE IN DISTRICT M.B.DIN
Human Rights Protection Foundation. expresses its deepest outrage and condemnation over yet another horrifying incident of police brutality and abuse of power in District Mandi Bahauddin, Tehsil Phalia, Village Bambli.
In this shocking case, police officers forcefully stormed into a private home, trampling upon the sanctity of chadar and char diwari — the very foundation of our cultural, social, and religious values. Instead of upholding the law, they became violators of the law themselves.
💔 DETAILS OF THE INCIDENT:
During the unlawful arrest attempt, police officials engaged in physical assault, which escalated into severe manhandling of family members.
An elderly man with white hair — a symbol of dignity and respect in our society — was humiliated and stripped naked during the chaos.
The most heartbreaking moment was when his young daughter, overcome with grief and shame, pleaded tearfully: “Papa ji, go inside and wear your clothes.” This painful cry symbolizes the destruction of a family’s honor and the deep psychological trauma inflicted by those sworn to protect them.
⚠️ Such an act is not just a violation of human rights — it is an attack on the very moral and social fabric of our community. No justification, legal or otherwise, can excuse this degree of inhumanity.
📍 GRAVE CONCERNS:
These actions severely undermine the credibility and public image of the entire police department.
The continued lawlessness by certain police officials has negatively impacted the performance and reputation of DPO Mandi Bahauddin.
The silence or inaction under the watch of SSP Wasim Riaz Khan raises disturbing questions about accountability, oversight, and the protection of citizens’ rights.
Such incidents fuel public anger, deepen mistrust between citizens and law enforcement, and push society toward unrest.
👉 HRPF CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION:
1. Suspension and arrest of all police officials involved in this shameful incident.
2. Transparent inquiry under independent oversight to ensure impartial justice.
3. Guarantees from higher authorities that such violations will never be tolerated again.
4. Psychological and legal support for the victims and their families who suffered humiliation, trauma, and loss of dignity.
5. Strict accountability to restore the faith of citizens in the justice system and the police force.
⚡ HRPF has already forwarded official concerns to higher authorities, human rights organizations, and watchdog institutions, demanding urgent intervention.
🚫 Let it be clear: This lawlessness has no justification. If such police misconduct goes unchecked, it will only encourage further violations, erode the rule of law, and destroy public trust in state institutions.
✊ HRPF stands firmly with the victims and vows to continue its struggle for justice, dignity, and protection of human rights.
