MEMESSAG FROM CHAIRMAN HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION FOUNDATION PAKISTAN ON LABOUR DAY.

MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION FOUNDATION PAKISTAN ON LABOUR DAY.
On this Labor Day, as we celebrate the hard work and dedication of workers around the world, we must also reflect on the ongoing struggles and injustices faced by many laborers, particularly in Pakistan. At the Human Rights Protection Foundation Pakistan, we recognize the vital contributions of workers in building our society and our economy. Yet, we cannot ignore the many challenges they face, including unsafe working conditions, low wages, and limited access to basic rights and protections.
In recent years, we have seen significant progress in labor rights in Pakistan, but there is still much work to be done. We must continue to advocate for fair wages, safe working conditions, and access to healthcare and education for all workers, regardless of their background or job.
As we celebrate Labor Day, let us renew our commitment to fighting for the rights and dignity of all workers in Pakistan and around the world.
As we celebrate Labour Day today, it is important that we remember the struggles and sacrifices of workers who have fought for their rights and dignity throughout history. This day serves as a reminder of the importance of fair labor practices and the need to protect the rights of workers in our country.
Unfortunately, in Pakistan, we still see many cases of exploitation, discrimination, and abuse of workers’ rights. Many laborers, particularly those in informal and unregulated sectors, continue to work under harsh and unsafe conditions, without basic labor protections such as minimum wage, health benefits, and social security.
As the Chairman of the Human Rights Protection Foundation Pakistan, I urge the government, employers, and civil society to take concrete steps to ensure that workers are treated with respect and dignity. This includes enforcing labor laws and regulations, providing access to education and training, and promoting decent working conditions for all workers.
On this Labour Day, let us pledge to stand in solidarity with workers and advocate for their rights. Let us work towards creating a society where every worker is treated with fairness and justice, and where their contributions to our economy and society are recognized and valued.
On this Labor Day, we must take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the immense contributions of our labor force towards the growth and development of our country. The Human Rights Protection Foundation Pakistan stands in solidarity with our hardworking and dedicated workers who have helped build our nation.
This day serves as a reminder that we must continue to fight for the rights and protections of our workers. They deserve fair wages, safe working conditions, and the right to form unions and collectively bargain. It is our duty as a society to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are met.
We also recognize the challenges that our workers have faced in the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many have lost their jobs or have had to work under unsafe conditions, putting their health at risk. We call on the government and employers to prioritize the safety and well-being of our workers.
Let us not forget that our progress as a nation is directly linked to the welfare of our labor force. On this Labor Day, let us renew our commitment to protecting the rights of our workers and creating a better future for all.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Muhammad Yousuf Badar.
Chairman, Human Rights Protection Foundation Pakistan.
