About this project
HRPF raised concerns about access to medical care at District Jail Mandi Bahauddin and pursued a complaint before the Provincial Ombudsman Punjab. The supplied decision records the jail administration’s medical-care arrangements and HRPF’s satisfaction during the proceedings. This concerns the recorded intervention and does not guarantee present-day conditions.
The challenge
Concerns about the absence of the designated doctor indicated that prisoners were having difficulty obtaining basic medical attention.
Our approach
HRPF contacted jail authorities and submitted a complaint to the Ombudsman Punjab. The proceedings sought information from the jail administration and led to a decision addressing the concerns.
