About this project
HRPF raised concerns about the safety of the Government Primary School building in Mianwal Ranjha. It submitted representations to education officials and pursued oversight through the Provincial Ombudsman Punjab. The recorded response concerns classroom construction subject to the necessary funding, rather than proof of completed new classrooms.
The challenge
Children continued attending lessons in a deteriorated building. Safe premises and functioning classrooms were the central concerns.
Our approach
HRPF submitted applications to the education authorities, brought the matter before the Provincial Ombudsman Punjab and provided supporting records during follow-up.
What we aim to achieve
- Seek safe classrooms for primary-school children.
What we do
- Raised concerns with the responsible education officials.
- Submitted an application to the Provincial Ombudsman Punjab.
- Provided records and followed the proceedings.
Results and lasting change
- An Ombudsman decision called for new classrooms once the necessary funding is approved.
- Construction completion and funding approval remain unconfirmed.
